Brendan is a graduate of Multimedia and Vivienne learned everything the hard way.. by herself!! This has made her an expert at using help files :) She's also taught web and multimedia for 6 years, before hooking up with Brendan.
Brendan Spillane is an MD and founding member of ilikecake limited.
Brendan turned his back on DIT to study and successfully complete a course in Computer Game Design and Interactive Entertainment in Ballyfermot College of Further Education (BCFE). At the time this was one of just 7 courses of this type worldwide and the only one of its type in Ireland.
Following this course he went on to complete a Higher National Diploma in Multimedia in BCFE, before transferring to Napier University Edinburgh where he completed his degree in Multimedia Technologies with Distinction. He also obtained the Class Medal.
When Brendan returned to Ireland he co-founded ilikecake limited. His original role in the company was a designer and developer but due to the phenomenal growth the company has experienced in the past year his role has now changed to project management of more then 20 websites at any one time.
He also plays a role in the consultancy work the business does in the areas of accessibility awareness, best case solutions and problem workaround. Brendan is a member of IRL-DeAN the Irish Design for all eAccessibility Network.
Our company offers many unique approaches to our clients. First we will promise the earth moon and stars to anybody who might employ us. After stalking them to get the job we will then sit down and think about what we have to do.
After forgetting about your project we will finally remember it when you ask us hows it going two days before the hand up date. Then the shit hits the fan and I stay awake for two days. What can I say, I work better under pressure. If it wasn’t for pressure I wouldn’t work at all.
Vivienne Trulock is an MD and co-founder of ilikecake limited.
Vivienne’s original Degree is in Science from National University of Ireland Maynooth in Co Kildare Ireland where she graduated with Distinction and attained first place in her Degree year, 1994.

As part of her Masters Vivienne completed a dissertation entitled 'A Comparative Investigation of the Accessibility Levels of Irish Websites'. My skills are in Web, Multimedia, Accessibility, HCI & Usability. I'm a bit more organised than Brendan, but I don't do all-nighters - I like my hot water bottle too much!
Previous to ilikecake I've worked for Eircom, Dun Laoghaire College of Art & Design, Ballyfermot College of Further Education, Griffith College, Keytrainer, Spangleweb, etc.
I'm tired of making money for other people so I've decided to make money for me. Well, I'll share with Brendan, but only because he makes nice tea.
