The Open Access Project is designed to develop innovative solutions for both jobseeker and employer services. It has a particular focus on accessibility solutions such as new video conferencing techniques / voice over internet protocol and other ICT and adaptive tools for people with disabilities or for people who might have difficulty accessing services due to remoteness.

The Website

The Open Access Project website has a variety of media including Video content with text transcripts, and a sign language Video Avatar, also with text transcripts. These have been rendered as Flash Video to optimise download time.

The Browsealoud facility aids poor readers with audio assistance.

Multi-Language and Search facilities are also available.

The Open Access Project website also has password protected login facilities for secure file sharing amongst participating members.

The site content is maintained and updated using a Content Management System.
